This postcard depicts a single funnel, ocean liner stopped to pick-up and off-load mail with a smaller service vessel.  The writing on the back of this postcard notes that the Fairstar is a 23,674 ton vessel that in 1957 was named the Oxfordshire.  This postcard has writing on the back as noted but was never mailed and thus has no postmark.  It is free of noticeable stains or marks and is in overall very good condition with only slight wear on the four corners.
