The movie, Stripes, is focused on two down and out guys who decide that joining Army will be the cure for all their problems.  The lead character, John Winger loses his job, his car, his apartment and his girlfreind all in one day and decides he has only one option: volunteer for Uncle Sam.  He then talks his buddy, Russell to enlist with him in part by telling him that it is a great place to meet women.  John and Russel have endless run-ins with their drill sergeant, get arrested twice and get into a big mess at a female mud wrestling competition.  Later in the movie they "borrow" a top-secret government vehicle to take two female M.P.s on a joyride and end-up behind the Iron Curtain.  Stripes is an outrageous comedy and thats the fact Jack!  Starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Warren Oates among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1981.  Runtime 106 minutes.
