The movie The Dirty Dozen, centers on the dregs of the U.S. Army: twelve violent psychopaths sentenced to either hang or rot in a military prison.  This seems to be their fait until a maverick Army Major is allowed to offer them a shot at redemption if they agree to go on a certain suicide mission behind enemy lines.  Accepting the challenge, The Dirty Dozen parachutes deep into occupied France just before the Allied invasion sceduled for June 6, 1944.  Their secret orders are to destroy a heavily protected Nazi chalet, kill as many German generals as possible and do whatever they can including giving up their lives to ensure the success of the approaching invasion.  Starring Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine and Charles Bronson among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1967.  Runtime 150 minutes.
