The movie, The Godfather, is a classic film based on Mario Puzo's best-selling novel about a Scicilian crime family's rise and near fall from power in America and the passage of rites from father to son.  The story centers on the patriarch of the Corleone family as he moves between ordinary family life and the ugly, brutal business of organized crime in which he and his "family" are engaged in.  Starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and James Caan among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1972.  Runtime 175 minutes.
