The movie The Hasty Heart takes place in the Burma theater of World War II in 1945.  While the monsoons drench them and the sun scorches them, the Allies fight doggedly against the Japanese Arny in the Jungles of Burma, 1945.  Aginst this backdrop, an engaging yank and hard-headed Lachie, the road to victory ends in a jungle hospital.  Their war is over but now they must, with the help of a devoted nurse, face a new battle called recovery.  The Hasty Heart is based on a play by John Patrick who drew from his own experiences serving in a wartime ambulance unit.  Starring Ronald Reagan, Patricia Neal and Richard Todd among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1949.  Rruntime 101 minutes.
