The book, This Is Ike: The Picture Story Of the Man, represents a fascinating pictorial study of General Eisenhower that was first published during the 1952 Presidential campaign.  As noted in the Prefatory Note at the beginning of this book, this pictorial study of General Eisenhower tells the story of "the man, his family, his background, his work, his play, his wife, his son, his joys, his sorrows".  The book, "This Is Ike" was not intended to be a campaign book or to suggest how good a President the general would make.  Rather, the intent was to provide the reader an objective study of the man through the use of pictures and an informative narrative.  The objective of "This Is Ike" was to give the reader enough information through the use of photographs to provide a basis to make an informed assessment of the man.  The major sections of this book include: 1) Prefatory Note; 2) EISENHOWER THE CIVILIAN; 3) IKE'S ANCESTORS: The Route from Germany to Kansas; 4) WEST POINT; 5) THE WAR; 6) SO NOW HE'S FAMOUS; 7) MRS. IKE: The Army Wife's Life Is A Lonely Life; 8) JOHN EISENHOWER'S ALBUMS: Intimate Glimpses of Family Relatives and Friend's; 9) IKE AS GRANDFATHER AND 10) WHAT IS IKE LIKE?.  In addition to an informative narrative, this book includes over 250 black and white photographs of the general who would be President.  This book is 94 pages and is in very good condition.  The editor is Wilson Hicks with Gardner Soule (text) and Helen Faye (picture research).  First edition published in 1952.
