The movie, To Kill A Mockingbird, is a film masterpiece that centers on a respected white Southerm lawyer who defends a black man wrongfully accused of rape. This movie is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. This movie is considered a classic film do to the way in which it captures a time, a place and above all, a common mood from the past. The setting is a dusty Southern town during the Great Depression. Against this backdrop, a white woman accuses a black man of rape even though the man is obviously innocent. Despite this, the outcome to the trial in this era is a forgone conclusion and because of this only one local lawyer will step forward to defend the wrongfully accused man.
