The movie, Top Gun, is a heart-pounding combination of action, music and incredible aerial photography and some romance.  This movie takes a look at the danger and excitement that awaits every young pilot at the Navy's prestigious fighter weapons school at "Fighter Town, U.S.A." in Southern California.  The central character is Maverick Mitchell, a daring flyer who's out to become the best of the best.  His gung-ho attitude soon brushes up against a civilian flight instructor who teaches a few things you can not learn in the classroom.  This movie was a blockbuster hit in 1986 and although a little long on the romance side is still an excellent film if for know other reason than the great aerial photography.  Starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis and Val Kilmer among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1986.  Runtime 105 minutes.
