This postcard depicts the Transcontinental Airport in Cheyenne, Wyoming as seen from the air.  The scene shows a house, six hangers and a terminal all in various shades of brown.  Two airplanes and many cars are also in this scene.  The legend on the back of this postcard reads: "Because of its geographical location Cheyenne occupies an enviable position in transcontinental airways.  It is the intermountain transfer point for all air mail in all directions.  The airport is equipped for day and night flying as well as storage and repair facilities for transient planes".  This postcard does contain writing on the back and shows the following cancellation stamp: Cheyenne, Wyo, Jul 28, 1939.  The exact mailing time is not legible.  This postcard is free of noticeable stains or marks and is in overall good condition with wear evident on the four corners.
