The book, Tu-16 Badger In Action (# 108) represents a pictorial review of the Tupolev Tu-16 (NATO Code Name Badger) twin-engine jet bomber operated by the Soviet Union through much of the "Cold War".  The Tu-16 Badger was also licensed built by the Chinese and named the Xian H-6.  It currently remains in service with the Chinese air force.  The Tu-16 Badger usually carried a crew of four and was operated as both a strategic bomber and reconnaissance aircraft.  The Tu-16 Badgers had the following operational characteristics: 1) Top speed of over 600 mph; 2) Service ceiling of just over 40,000 feet and 3) Range of about 2,000 miles.  The bomber variants typically carried defensive armament of up to seven 23 mm cannon and could carry a variety of "stand-off" missiles or up to 20,000 pounds of conventional bombs.  The major sections of "Tu-16 Badger In Action (# 108)" are as follows: 1) Editor's Note; 2) Dedication; 3) Acknowledgements; 4) Photo Credits; 5) Introduction; 6) Tu-16 Badger A; 7) Missile Carriers; 8) Tu-16 Recon Variants and 9) Chinese Badgers.  In addition to an informative narrative, "Tu-16 Badger In Action (# 108)" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 88 black and white photographs; 2) About 31 black and white illustrations; 3) 1 color illustration; 4) 10 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 5) 1 three-view Tupolev Tu-16 Badger A black and white illustration with specifications; 6) 1 three-view Tupolev Tu-16 KS-10 Badger C Mod black and white illustration with specifications; 7) 1 three-view Tupolev Tu-16 R Badger F black and white illustration with specifications and 8) 3 color cover paintings.  This book is 50 pages and is in good condition.  The author is Robert Bock with Don Greer & Perry Manley (colorists) and Joe Sewell (illustrations).  Edition published in 1990.
