The book, U.S. Subs In Action, tells the story of the United States Navy submarines and their crews in action during World War II.  The many different classes of submarines covered in text and illustration are as follows: 1) S class; 2) Argonaut; 3) Narwhal class; 4) Dolphin; 5) Cachalot class; 6) P class; 7) Salmon / Sargo class; 8) Tambor class and 9) Gato class.  In addition to a very informative narrative, this book includes the following; 1) 96 black and white vintage photogrpahs; 2) 40 black and white photographs; 3) 11 color illustrations and 4) 1 three dimensional cut-away drawing of the U.S.S. Greenling (SS 213), 1943.  This book is 49 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is Robert C. Stern with Don Greer (illustrations).  Edition published in 1983.
