This kit is a scaled representation of the famous PBY-5A Catalina "Black Cat" flying boat used extensively by the United States Navy during World War II.  Included in this kit are the following: 1) Recessed panel lines; 2) Detailed cockpit; 3) Optional position landing gear / pontoons; 4) Detailed engine faces and machine guns and 5) Illustrated assembly instructions.  Authentic markings are included for a single overall-black aircraft of the United States Navy VP-54 operating out of Guadalcanal, 1944.  Never started and factory sealed.
