The United States Navy twin engined R4D- 5 was a cold weather Search and Rescue modified version of the venerable Douglas C-47 transport.  This accurately scaled model of the R4D-5 comes with authentic markings for a single United States Naval aircraft serving in "Operation High Jump", Antarctica, 1947.  Also included in this kit are the following: 1) Clear plastic glass areas; 2) Engine faces; 3) Detailed ski adapted landing gear; 4) Recessed panel lines and 5) Illustrated assembly instructions.  Never assembled and factory sealed.
