The Vampire T11 was a British purpose built jet-engined fighter manufactured by the de Haviland company beginning in 1950.  While the fighter variant was introduced late in World War II, it arrived too late to see combat.  Almost 3,300 Vampire's of all variants were produced between 1945 and when production ceased in the 1950s..  The Vampire was utilized by the Royal Air Force as a frontline fighter until 1955 and as a trainer into the mid-1960s.  Many Vampires were exported to both Commonwealth countries and allied air forces.  The T11 trainer variant of which about 600 were built was the last version of this legendary jet fighter to be produced.  It was configured with side-by-side seating to facilitate its role as an advanced jet trainer aircraft.  The operational characteristics of the Vampire are as follow: 1) Top speed just under 550 m.p.h.; 2) Range about 1,200 miles and 3) Service ceiling of almost 43,000.  The vampire was armed with four 20 mm cannons and could carry multiple rockets and bombs.  This older Vampire T11 jet trainer scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Vampire T11 jet fighter as operated by either the Royal Air Force or Swiss Air Force); 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed landing gear; 5) Recessed panel lines; 6) Painting guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in like-new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
