The movie, Vampires, is an action packed horror film that puts a very different spin on this film genre.  In this film, a tough-as-nails vampire hunter named Jack Crow leads a specialized team funded by the Vatican to destroy the race of vampires that inhabit the Earth.  While the team enjoys some early success they become lazy and reckless eventually falling victim to an elaborate ambush set-up by a powerful master vampire.  Crow and two others are the only survivors of this ambush and are determined to get their revenge for the massacre.  Forming a new team, Crow sets out to once and for all  rid the planet of vampires.  This movie is based on the book by John Steakly and was adapted to the screen by Don Jakoby.  Starring James Woods, Daniel Baldwin and Sheryl Lee.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1998.  Runtime 107 minutes.
