The Vega PV-1 Ventura Navy patrol bomber was a "stop-gap" development of the Lockheed Lodestar transport and was used early in World War II to find and attack Axis submarines operating in convoy routes particularly in the North Atlantic. This kit features two detailed engines, cockpit interior, turning propellers, clear cockpit windows, gun turret and astrodome. Authentic markings included in this kit include the very short-lived red bordered national insiginia which was subsequently dropped due to the simularity with the red found in the Japanese national insignia. Never started and factory sealed.
