The movie, Victory, is the story of a group of Allied P.O.W.s in a German prison camp who are asked to compete against a group of Nazi soccer players in this World War II drama set in 1943, Occupied Europe. German Major Karl von Steiner, who played soccer before the war, comes up with the idea. When his superiors find out about the Major's plan, they insist on using Germany's best soccer team against the scratch Allied prisoner team. The Allied prisoners agree to the game because they see it as an opportunity to escape but after they start the match, they realize that they might actually beat the Germans and must decide what is more important: completing the match or escaping. Starring Michael Caine, Max von Sydow and Sylvester Stallone among others. Widescreen in color. Released in 1981. Runtime 116 minutes.
