The film, Vietnam: The Battle Of Khe Sanh, includes actual United States Department Of Defence combat footage of one of the fiercest battles of the entire Vietnam War. For seventy seven days, United States Army Rangers, United States Marines, United States Navy Seabees and a handful of others fought to hold Khe Sanh against the determined and brutal siege of the North Vietnamese Army. The viewer will witness the bombardment of the United States Marine base by North Vietnamese artillery, the airlifting of vital supplies and the medical evacuation of American casualties. While the North Vietnamese held the high ground around three different American military bases and out-numbered the United States forces by a factor of 5 to 1, the use of superior airpower made the difference during this major battle and allowed the Allies to triumph in the end. Full screen in color and black & white. Released in 1987. Runtime 30 minutes.
