The Westland Sea King Mk. 41 is a British license built version of the venerable American Sikorsky S-61 helicopter.  While the exterior of the Westland Sea King Mk. 41 is similar to the Sikorsky S-61, there are many differences including the following: 1) British built Gnome engines; 2) Anti-submarine warfare systems and 3) Fully integrated computor control system.  The Westland Sea King Mk. 41 has also been produced as a commando troop transport for the British export market.  The Sea King first flew in 1969 and to date, almost 350 of all variants have been built.  The Sea King has been used by the following countries: 1) Australia, India, United Kingdom and West Germany.    The operational performance characteristics are as follows: 1) Top speed about 140 m.p.h.; 2) Combat range of approximately 750 miles and 3) Service ceiling of 10,000.  This older, out-of-production Westland Sea King Mk. 41 (Famous Fighter Series No. 29) model is molded in olive green plastic and includes the following features: 1) Accesory parts; 2)  Authentic markings for a rescue Sea King operated by the West German Navy; 3) Clear glass areas and 4) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in investment quality condition.   Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
