As a World War II fighter aircraft, the Westland Whirlwind F. Mk. 1 was in a number of respects an aircraft ahead of its time.  It had four 20 mm canon, two powerful engines and a bubble canopy that became standard later in the war with aircraft such as the Beaufighter and Mosquito.  While the concept for this aircraft dated back to 1936, the 114 operational aircraft were not built and deployed until 1940.  Two squadrons, numbers 263 and 137, operated the type as low level coastal penetration fighters and fighter / bombers up through December, 1943 when the surviving aircraft were declared redundant and thus scrapped.  The book, Westland Whirlwind F. Mk. 1 (Warpaint Series No. 54), includes 29 color aircraft profiles, 1 vintage color photograph, 41 period black and white photographs, 2 squadron serial number tables and 2 pages of multi-view line drawings.  This publication is highly recommended for either the aircraft historian or detail oriented modeller as it contains a fairly comprehensive group of period photographs.  This book is 26 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is Alan W. Hull with Mike Kepp (line drawing illustrator).  Edition published in 2000.
