The book, Wing To Wing tells the little known role played by the United States Army Air Corps along with the Chinese Air Force during air combat in China from the 1943 through the end of hostilities against Imperial Japan in 1945.  “Wing To Wing” reveals the unique role played by the Chinese-American Composite Wing in China during World War II.  Less famous than it’s predecessor “Flying Tigers”, The Chinese-American Composite Wing continued the struggle against the Imperial Japanese forces occupying China during the 1943 to 1945 timeframe.  During the last two years of the War, combat crews of the Chinese-American Composite Wing flew American-built P-30 and P-51 fighters and B-25 bombers against Japanese forces on the ground and in the air from one end of occupied China to the other.  By the end of World War II in this combat theater, the Chinese-American Composite Wing had produced no less than eight aces among their fighter pilots.  “Wing To Wing” represents a thoroughly researched book and is a balanced blend of “mission reports, personal experiences and anecdotes”.  “Wings To Wings” includes the following sections: 1) Acknowledgements; 2) Contributing CACW Veterans; 3) Ten separate chapters; 4) Bibliography and 5) Index.  In addition to an informative narrative, “Wing To Wing” includes approximately 44 wartime black and white photographs and 1 combat theater map.  This book is 207 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is Carl Molesworth.  Edition published in 1990.
