The film, The World's Greatest Train Ride Videos: England is part of a series of videos that take a look at historic trains and routes traveled throughout the world.  In this installment, an exhilarating journey through England is hosted by Bernie Kopell which takes you on three different rail tours.  The first rail journey begins aboard the Settle Carlisle Railway and the South Tynedale Railway which is England's highest narrow gauge railway.  Along the way, the viewer will see an ancient Norman castle and the "Long Men And Her Daughters" 6,000 year old stone monument which is almost as mysterious as the more famous "Stonehedge" monument.  The second rail adventure is an excursion on the famed, century-old Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.  Along the way you will see many preserved stations, trains, yards and lines plus visit the home of the Bronte sisters who were famous English writers.  The final train trip takes the viewer into the heart of English railroad history aboard the South Tynedale Naroow Gauge Railway, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Minature Railway and both the East and West Lancashire Railways all against the beautiful backdrop of the English countryside.  Full screen in color.  Runtime 60 minutes.  Released in 1995.
