The TV show, Lost In Space was originally conceived as "The Swiss Family Robinson In Space" and aired from 1965 to 1968. This TV series, first filmed in black & white and later in color, has become a true Sci-Fi classic with an enormous following of devouted fans. In Lost In Space: Island In The Sky (Episode # 3), Professor Robinson uses a jet pack to land on the surface of this unknown world in order to see if it is safe for the Jupiter II to land. After loosing contact with Professor Robinson, Major Don West crash lands the Jupiter II on the surface of this planet. The family quickly sets-out in their land roving vehicle in order to locate Professor Robinson which they eventually do. While the search party is away, however, the sinister Dr. Smith plans his escape back to Earth by programming the robot to "eliminate" everyone except Major West. The show closes as the robot seeks out his first victim, Professor Robinson's son Will. The only question is whether or not Dr. Smith will succeed in his plans.
