German Land-Wasser-Schlepper (LWS) - $32.00

The Land-Wasser-Schlepper (LWS) was a production Wehrmacht amphibious tracked vehicle functioning as a tug and land transport. Development of the Land-Wasser-Schlepper (Land-Water-Tractor) began in 1936 and the first 7 vehicles were completed in July of 1940. An additional 14 were produced by March of 1941. While the Land-Wasser-Schlepper was designed by Rheinmetall-Borsig as an amphibious vehicle for use by engineers it lacked storage and loading/unloading access, which in practice limited its utility. This problem was overcome when special 10 and 20-ton amphibious trailers were designed to be used in conjunction with the Land-Wasser-Schlepper. It carried a crew of up to 5 along with 20 passengers. Use of the Land-Wasser-Schlepper was also limited by the fact it was unarmored and could not operate effectively in combat zones. That said, the Land-Wasser-Schlepper did see service in North Africa and Russia. This German Land-Wasser-Schlepper "mid-production" scale model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings & painting guide for two "mid-production" Land-Wasser-Schleppers: a) K-FI.412, Surendorf, Baltic Sea, September 1944 & b) Pi.Ldgs.Ausb.Btl, Esbjerg, Denmark, 1944; 2) Detailed cabin interior including winch & helm station; 3) Detailed hull & deck with fittings; 4) Detailed suspension; 5) Individual link track; 6) Photo-etch deck grille; 7) Separately molded on-vehicle cabin hatches & equipment; 8) Twin-screws & rudders; 9) Window masks and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in new condition. Never started and factory sealed.

Lavochkin LA-5 - $14.00

The Russian Lavochkin LA-5 single seat, single piston engined fighter came out of the decision in late 1941 to install a 1,600 horsepower ASh-82 A radial engine in the fuselage of a LaGG-3 airframe in order to materially improve operational performance. The resulting combination of improved engine mated with an existing airframe gave excellent results. An improved model of this combination, the La-5FN was used to good effect by all of the Russian armed forces. Many Russian air aces began their career by flying this outstanding pursuit plane including Ivan Kojedub who, with 62 victories, was the top scoring Allied World War II ace. This older, out-of-production Lavochkin LA-5 scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft operated by the Russian Air Force during World War II; 2) Clear two-piece plastic canopy; 3) Molded in gray colored plastic; 4) Recessed panel lines; 5) Painting Guide and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in very good condition. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
